US President Donald Trump signed an order to increase tariffs on imported steel and aluminum products. The tariff rate will be raised from 25% to 50% starting at 12:01 am Eastern Standard Time today (4th) (12:01 pm Hong Kong Time).

The import tariff rate for steel and aluminum products from the UK, which has reached a trade agreement with the US, will remain at 25%, the order added. However, if the UK violates the relevant agreement, the tariff for UK steel and aluminum products will also be lifted to 50%.
