During the 2025 Dragon Boat Festival holiday, the actual number of passenger flights executed on domestic routes was 37,000, up 0.65% YoY, while the actual number of passenger flights executed on international and regional routes was 6,679, up 17% YoY, according to data from VariFlight. Of which, 2 June recorded the highest number of flights in a single day.

The significant growth in international and regional passenger flights reflects a recovery in cross-border travel demand, while domestic routes remained stable. During the Dragon Boat Festival, the average domestic airfare was approx. RMB670, down 6% YoY.
