According to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics, China's non-manufacturing business activity index for May stood at a nearly four-month low of 50.3, lower than the market expectation of 50.6 and down 0.1 ppt from the previous month.

Meanwhile, the composite PMI output index for May edged up by 0.2 ppts from the previous month to 50.4, indicating that production and business activities continued to expand overall.
