Hong Kong stocks repeatedly softened today. The HSI lost 123 points or 0.5% to close at 23,258. The HSCEI ebbed 26 points or 0.3% to close at 8,443. The HSTECH slid 7 points or 0.2% to close at 5,174. Total market turnover for the day amounted to $180.816 billion.

XIAOMI-W (01810.HK)  -0.750 (-1.451%)    Short selling $1.62B; Ratio 15.488%   's 1Q non-IFRS net profit beat forecasts with a spike of 65%, lifting its share price by 0.4% to $51.75. KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK)  -0.900 (-1.661%)    Short selling $438.68M; Ratio 21.695%   advanced 5.9% to $51.65 as its 1Q non-IFRS net profit increased by 4%, and it is confident of double-digit growth in online advertising revenue in 2Q. Amid reports suggesting that BABA-W (09988.HK)  -4.200 (-3.556%)    Short selling $2.60B; Ratio 11.170%   is considering slashing its stake in ZTO EXPRESS-W (02057.HK)  -2.100 (-1.496%)    Short selling $49.78M; Ratio 16.903%   , BABA-W faded 1.9%, while ZTO EXPRESS-W ticked up 0.1%.

The China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) reported that China's automotive industry logged increased revenue without profit uplifts in 4M25, and that earnings pressure on mainstream carmakers has been mounting recently.
