Given the de-fusing trade relations between Europe and the US, US President Donald Trump agreed to delay imposing a 50% tariff on the EU. On Tuesday, the first day of the shortened trading week, US stocks leapfrogged.

The DJIA settled just 7 points below its all-time high, rallying 740 points or 1.8% to close at 42,343. The Nasdaq and S&P 500 posted even greater gains of 2%, fueled by Tesla (TSLA.US)      surging 7%. The Nasdaq closed up 461 points or 2.5% at 19,199. The S&P 500 jumped up 118 points or 2.1% to close at 5,921.

Tesla founder Elon Musk stated he would shift his focus from politics to the company, making Tesla's shares to fare best among the "Magnificent Seven". AMD (AMD.US)      spiked nearly 4%, with market shedding light on Nvidia (NVDA.US)      , which is set to report earnings this week. Nvidia soared 3.2%. Alphabet (GOOG.US)      , Apple (AAPL.US)      , Amazon (AMZN.US)      , and Meta (META.US)      all advanced over 2%.
