The market was worried that the promotional activities may cause the price cut war of Chinese car makers, intensifying competition and affecting the profits of car companies.

Chinese major automakers generally weakened this morning (27th). After yesterday (26th)'s sharp fall of nearly 9%, BYD COMPANY (01211.HK)  +1.400 (+0.344%)    Short selling $195.05M; Ratio 6.108%   opened 1.7% lower this morning, and its losses widened in the morning session. It closed at $407.4 near noon, shrinking 4.2%, with a turnover of $4.014 billion.

The rest of the major automakers generally softened. GAC GROUP (02238.HK)  +0.050 (+1.812%)    Short selling $6.23M; Ratio 26.915%   and GWMOTOR (02333.HK)  +0.140 (+1.118%)    Short selling $54.22M; Ratio 31.954%   shed 1.8-2%, while GEELY AUTO (00175.HK)  +0.260 (+1.474%)    Short selling $117.68M; Ratio 12.414%   , BRILLIANCE CHI (01114.HK)  +0.010 (+0.317%)    Short selling $5.27M; Ratio 14.893%   and DONGFENG GROUP (00489.HK)  +0.290 (+6.938%)    Short selling $37.64M; Ratio 8.451%   faded 2.8-3.2%.

New forces of the auto industry were weak, with XPENG-W (09868.HK)  +4.750 (+6.213%)    Short selling $273.41M; Ratio 12.458%   , LI AUTO-W (02015.HK)  +1.900 (+1.745%)    Short selling $218.51M; Ratio 30.493%   and NIO-SW (09866.HK)  +0.900 (+3.175%)    Short selling $27.66M; Ratio 30.075%   losing 1.9-3.8%. LEAPMOTOR (09863.HK)  +0.450 (+0.796%)    Short selling $11.90M; Ratio 4.997%   continued to sag 2.6%, while XIAOMI-W (01810.HK)  +0.100 (+0.193%)    Short selling $449.76M; Ratio 14.097%   also dropped 1.1%.
