The Monsters, a series of products created by Belgium-based Hong Kong-born artist Kasing Lung and the exclusive IP of POP MART (09992.HK)  +6.000 (+3.352%)    Short selling $290.98M; Ratio 7.858%   , have become very popular, and the “LABUBU” 3.0 “Big Into Energy” series products launched at the end of April has been snapped up, with the prices of the products on the second-hand trading platforms in China being speculated by more than 10 times at one point.

The speculation of LABUBU limited edition is becoming more prevalent, and some of the LABUBU dolls limited to a few thousand or even a few hundred globally can be sold on second-hand platforms for as much as $20,000, according to reports. For example, the EVA Labubu was launched in 2021 at a price of about $2,000 at that time, and the current asking price of the doll is as high as $24,000 on the local second-hand platforms.
