In 2M26, China saw cumulative telecom business revenue drop by 1.7% YoY to RMB290.4 billion, according to data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). The total telecom business volume, calculated at constant prices from last year, grew by 8.4% YoY. As of the end of February, the total number of mobile phone users of the three key telecom companies and China Broadnet reached 1.826 billion, a decrease of 1.001 million from the end of last year. Among them, there were 1.235 billion 5G mobile phone users, marking a net increase of 30.44 million from the end of last year, accounting for 67.6% of total mobile phone users.
