The escalation of the Middle East conflict and the market's digestion of the decisions by the US and European central banks to keep interest rates intact weighed down on US bourse Thursday. BABA-W (09988.HK) (BABA.US) reported a 67% slump in non-GAAP net profit for 3FQ, way worse than forecast, and its US ADR closed down 7.1%. Major techs waned broadly, with Tesla (TSLA.US) down 3.2% as its FSD system faced an upgraded investigation in the US.
