The HSI settled the midday up 244 points or 0.9% at 27,092. The HSCEI rose 81 points or 0.9% to 9,367. The HSTECH hiked 89 points or 1.5% to 5,959. The total market turnover at midday amounted to HKD162.674 billion. BABA-W (09988.HK) soared 5.3% to HKD168.3, with a turnover of HKD21.1 billion. Its Qianwen is said to have seized over 100 million monthly active users and to announce a major product iteration tomorrow. ALI HEALTH (00241.HK) rocketed 16% following the exclusive launch of the world's first topical innovative drug for infantile hemangioma. KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK) advanced 5.5% on a proposed issuance of USD- and CNY-denominated senior notes and an announcement of its Kling AI achieving a revenue of over USD20 million in December 2025. Q TECH (01478.HK) was hyped up 13.5%. Its consolidated profit is expected to have risen up to 4.5 times last year. Among other tech stocks, TENCENT (00700.HK) and BIDU-SW (09888.HK) gained 1.7% and 2%. MEITUAN-W (03690.HK) fell 3%. JD-SW (09618.HK) edged down 0.3%. NTES-S (09999.HK) added 0.5%. Additionally, PA GOODDOCTOR (01833.HK) and BILIBILI-W (09626.HK) swelled 5.7% and 4.2%. MEITU (01357.HK) and CHINA LIT (00772.HK) grew 3% and 3.1%. KINGDEE INT'L (00268.HK) and CHINASOFT INT'L (00354.HK) jumped 4%. KINGSOFT (03888.HK) and WEIMOB INC (02013.HK) leaped 6.5% and 9.4%. Regarding AI stocks, XTALPI (02228.HK) and FOURTH PARADIGM (06682.HK) ballooned 5.4% and 3.1%. UNISOUND (09678.HK) plunged 8.9%. KNOWLEDGE ATLAS (02513.HK) skyrocketed 17%.
