In the automotive sector, BYD COMPANY (01211.HK) ended the midday flat. LI AUTO-W (02015.HK) soared 2.5%. XIAOMI-W (01810.HK) added 0.2%. XPENG-W (09868.HK) spiked 5.7%.

Financial stock HSBC HOLDINGS (00005.HK) rose to a new post-interest high of HKD119.8 during trading. It closed the midday up 0.8% at HKD119.7. WUXI BIO (02269.HK) mushroomed 6.5% at midday, marking the largest increase among blue chips. Under the same series, WUXI APPTEC (02359.HK) shot up 2.7%.
