The HSI concluded the midday up 158 points or 0.6% at 25,875. The HSCEI rose 68 points or 0.8% to 9,147. The HSTECH climbed 64 points or 1.2% to 5,609. The total market turnover for the half-day amounted to HKD133.003 billion. UBTECH ROBOTICS (09880.HK) ticked up 0.5%. It announced an 11.4% discounted share placement to raise a net amount of HKD3.056 billion. XIAOMI-W (01810.HK) rallied 4.6% to HKD40.44. Its controlling shareholder Lei Jun increased his stake by 2.6 million shares at an average price of HKD38.58. Among other tech stocks, BABA-W (09988.HK), poised to release its quarterly results after the bell, hiked 2.4%. BILIBILI-W (09626.HK) mushroomed 5.1%. BIDU-SW (09888.HK) and KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK) shot up 3.2% and 2.6%. NTES-S (09999.HK) inched 0.6% higher. TENCENT (00700.HK), MEITUAN-W (03690.HK), and JD-SW (09618.HK) edged down 0.3-0.4%. In addition, GDS-SW (09698.HK) rocketed 6.5%. CHINA LIT (00772.HK), ALI HEALTH (00241.HK), MEITU (01357.HK), and PA GOODDOCTOR (01833.HK) gained 3.6-4.5%. Chip stocks SMIC (00981.HK) and HUA HONG SEMI (01347.HK) added 0.9% and 2.2%. Autonomous driving concept stock WERIDE-W (00800.HK) jumped 2%. It managed to trim its 1-3Q25 loss to RMB1.099 billion.
