UBTECH ROBOTICS (09880.HK) announced that it won the bid for the humanoid robot data collection and testing center, and AI innovation education demonstration project, in Fangchenggang City, Guangxi last Friday (21st). The bidding amount was RMB264 million, with the main product being the latest industrial humanoid robot Walker S2, which can autonomously change batteries. The project will focus on humanoid robots for passenger at national border ports, sentry inspections, logistics, commercial services, and facility inspections at large domestic steel, copper, and aluminum production bases. The order is expected to be delivered in December. Today (25th), the company disclosed a 11.4% discounted share placement to raise a net amount of HKD3.056 billion, marking the sixth share placement since August 2024, which dragged the stock price to open 2.3% lower at HKD108.9, bottoming at HKD105.1.
