CN White Cardboard Prices Bottom Out from Trough After 5-Yr Slump: Report

Recently, several well-known pulp and paper companies in China have issued a slew of product price adjustment notices, involving various types of paper such as white cardboard, coated board, food card, recycled kraft paper, and high-strength corrugated paper, according to the Securities Daily.

The price adjustments range from RMB50 to RMB200 per ton, with the execution period concentrated from late November to December 1, 2025.

As indicated by the report, the white cardboard industry has begun to bottom out from the trough after a five-year slump. Data from SCI99.com shows that the market price of white cardboard reached RMB4,214 per ton as of November 21, up 2.48% from the end of October and up 7.23% from the mid-to-late August annual low of RMB3,930 per ton.
