South Korea's Samsung Electronics is taking a scalpel to the price tag of its 2nm process wafers in order to expand its economic scale by attracting major customers of TSMC (TSM.US) to diversify their investments, Economic Daily News reported, citing sources.

Recently, Samsung Electronics has been quoting its 2nm process wafers at USD20,000 per piece, 33% cheaper than TSMC's USD30,000. It is actively approaching major manufacturers like Nvidia (NVDA.US) and Qualcomm (AVGO.US) for 2nm performance evaluation and mass production preparation.
