WeChat Pay HK announced that, starting today (22nd), it will expand its HKD payment coverage to Taobao. Transactions in RMB on Taobao will automatically be settled in HKD, with zero handling fees. Furthermore, from today until 31 October (promotional period), WeChat Pay HK users can enjoy discounts of up to $120 on eligible transactions on Taobao using a qualifying Visa card.
