US Planning to Tighten Listing Rules for Foreign Firms; CN Urges End to Politicization of Trade Issues

Seeing that many Chinese companies have benefited by reducing the frequency of information disclosures to investors, the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is planning to tighten regulatory requirements for foreign companies to go listed in the US.

Lin Jian, China's Foreign Ministry Spokesman, responded that the US should adhere to the principles of fair competition in the market, stop politicizing economic and trade issues, and provide a fair, just, and non-discriminatory business environment for companies from all countries including China.
