China's 2025 NEV 'Countryside' promotion campaign is about to commence. China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), Ministry of Commerce (MOC) and other 2 departments jointly issued a notice to launch the 2025 NEV 'Countryside' promotion campaign, covering 124 models, including own, joint venture and foreign brands, covering passenger cars and small commercial vehicles. US-based Tesla (TSLA.US) was included in the “Countryside” model catalog for the first time. Among own brands, BYD COMPANY (01211.HK) has a total of 11 models in the 'Countryside' campaign, CHANGAN AUTOMOBILE(000625.SZ) (including Avatr) has 15, Dongfeng Motor has 10, and GEELY AUTO (00175.HK) has over 10 models.
