The Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) launched a popularity index forecasting overnight stays by mainland Chinese tourists, releasing seven-day popularity data on the "Macao Tourism Data+" platform starting Monday (28th). The initiative aims to help Macau’s tourism and hotel industries better understand trends related to mainland tourists staying overnight. The popularity index shows a "rise-then-fall" booking trend for daily popularity from April 29 to May 5, 2025, peaking at 128 on May 1 and bottoming at a weekly low of 82.4 on May 5.
