Ding Yumei, the ex-wife of Hui Ka Yan, Chairman of EVERGRANDE (03333.HK), which has entered the liquidation proceedings, applied for a loan of $821 million from ORIX Asia Asset Management on 8 November 2021, as a guarantor of Mega Mountain Limited and Good Bond Limited, according to the writ. As of last Friday (26th), the total outstanding loan amount was $859 million together with the interest and principle, and ORIX filed a petition to the court to pursue the recovery of the loan.
