MIDEA GROUP Hails Exponential Growth in European AC Mkt
2026-06-29 09:43:59 Amid persistent heatwaves across multiple parts of Europe, with several regions breaking temperature records, MIDEA GROUP (00300.HK) is experiencing exponential growth in its European air conditioner (AC) market this year. The company’s share price opened 2.49% higher this morning (29th), hitting an intraday high of HKD85. It last reported at HKD84.9, up 5.66%, with turnover of 2.9898 million shares, involving HKD249 million. According to the head of Midea’s overseas air conditioner business, sales growth has been prosperous this year in some Western European countries. Markets with relatively low air conditioner penetration rates, including France, Spain, Germany and the UK, logged YoY upsurges of more than 70%. A source related to Midea’s air conditioner operations revealed that the company’s Shunde plant is working overtime to ramp up production of portable split-type air conditioners.
