Apple Reportedly Seeks US Approval to Procure Chips from CXMT
2026-06-29 09:35:35 Apple Inc. (AAPL.US) is lobbying the US government to approve the company’s procurement of memory chips from CXMT, according to the Financial Times. Although Apple has not been prohibited from sourcing chips from CXMT, the latter has been placed on the US Department of Defense’s list of Chinese military companies. As such, Apple is seeking assurances from the US Department of Commerce and other government officials to ensure that future purchases of chips from CXMT will not be subject to restrictions.
