NDRC, NEA Strive to Basically Establish Clean, Low-carbon, Safe and Efficient New Energy System by 2030
2026-06-25 17:30:01 China's National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and National Energy Administration (NEA) issued the "15th Five-Year Plan" for the Construction of a New Energy System. The main objective is to basically establish a clean, low-carbon, safe and efficient new energy system by 2030. Comprehensive energy production capacity will reach 5.8 billion tonnes of standard coal, while the complementarity, mutual support and security resilience of the power system will be comprehensively enhanced, and energy imports will become diversified and controllable. Coal and oil consumption will peak, and the share of non-fossil energy consumption will reach 25%.
