The project is led by SenseTime co-founder Lin Dahua, with OpenAI's GPT-Image 2 set as its competitive benchmark. The company aims to build an image generation model that can "think". The model reportedly carries the internal codename "U1 Pro" and is being advanced by the SenseTime Research Institute. It belongs to the SenseNova model family.
