Z.AI (02513.HK) shot up 9.55%. Chip makers also gained momentum, with HUA HONG GRACE (01347.HK) surging 15.75%, making it the best-performing blue chip of the day. SMIC (00981.HK) elevated 8.96%, while GIGADEVICE (03986.HK), MONTAGE TECH (06809.HK) and ILUVATAR COREX (09903.HK) mounted 8-11%+. As the Trump administration is likely to become a "lame duck" during the remaining two years of its term, the USD came under hefty pressure. Spot gold climbed back above the USD4,000 per ounce mark, boosting gold miners. ZIJIN MINING (02899.HK) soared 7.62%; ZHAOJIN MINING (01818.HK) swelled 10.6%; ZIJIN GOLD INTL (02259.HK) leaped 14.58%; CHIFENG GOLD (06693.HK) jumped up 18.15%; and LINGBAO GOLD (03330.HK) also escalated 17.04%. Innovative drug makers collectively moved higher. WUXI XDC (02268.HK) proliferated 13.01%; GENSCRIPT B-1K (01548.HK), WUXI APPTEC (02359.HK) and WUXI BIO (02269.HK) rebounded sharply by more than 12%; BEONE MEDICINES (06160.HK) mushroomed 10.18%.
