ZTE Negates Disposal of Handset Biz
2026-11-04 11:42:28 ZTE (00763.HK) purportedly planned to sell its mobile phone business, but Sina Tech quoted the company as saying the information was untrue. Recent reports indicated that ZTE was in talks with a major internet company regarding cooperation on its mobile phone business, with plans to package the unit and establish a JV together with the internet company and Shanghai state-owned capital. The internet company was reportedly planning to invest about RMB8 billion, while ZTE hoped to advance the cooperation based on a business valuation of about RMB40 billion.
