2026-10-12 12:00:50 Morgan Stanley published a research report covering LENOVO GROUP (00992.HK), of which PC shipments in 3Q reached 14.9 million units, down 10% QoQ and down 23% YoY. Excluding workstations, desktop and notebook computer shipments totaled 14.4 million units, 5% and 7% below the broker's and market's expectations respectively. The performance miss was mainly owing to slowing demand in 2H, while 1H performance beat on advance inventory stocking. The broker remained cautious on end-demand for personal computers in 2H, noting that the memory supercycle prompted OEMs to raise prices amid supply shortages. However, the broker believed the impact on Lenovo and other OEMs is largely offset by higher ASPs, resulting in limited impact on Lenovo's revenue.
