TENCENT Updates WorkBuddy, Launches 'Human-AI Co-writing' Collaborative Editing Capability with Tencent Docs
2026-07-30 14:36:39 TENCENT (00700.HK)'s WorkBuddy has released an update (V5.3.5), jointly launching a "Human-AI Co-writing" collaborative editing capability for the Agent era together with Tencent Docs. The feature is the industry's first to achieve synchronized collaboration across multiple terminals among "human-human, human-AI, and AI-AI", promoting Office software into the era of AI-native collaboration. Following the upgrade, WorkBuddy seamlessly embeds AI capabilities into the document editing environment. When users open Tencent Docs or local Office files, AI remains on standby directly on the current page. Users no longer need to switch between windows repeatedly. By simply selecting text, tables, or PPT pages in the original file with a mouse and giving instructions in natural language, AI can immediately begin working within the document. The generated revisions are displayed directly in the original file, while users can also take over for fine-tuning at any time or add annotation comments for AI to continue revising independently.
