KB LAMINATES (01888.HK) Chairman Cheung Kwok Wah said at the results press conference that the company, driven by AI demand, will continue substantial capacity expansion from 2027 to 2028.

He said the capacity expansion will involve total capital expenditure of about HKD9 billion through 2028, which will be supported by the company's own profitability without the need for additional financing. The group's profit for July alone already reached HKD1.1 billion, and third-quarter profit is expected to match that of 1H26.

KINGBOARD HLDG (00148.HK) Chairman Cheung Kwok Wing said he is highly optimistic about AI-driven demand for glass fabric and copper-clad laminates over the next two years, and is very confident that both companies will earn more than HKD10 billion this year.

On investments, he said Hong Kong stocks remain undervalued and described them as extremely attractive buys. He revealed that he recently selected two Macau gaming stocks, GALAXY ENT (00027.HK) and MGM China (002282.HK), as well as CHINA MOBILE (00941.HK). He also holds TENCENT (00700.HK), but not BABA-W (09988.HK).

Speaking of his personal investment performance, he disclosed that he earned HKD3.3 billion for the full year last year and has earned HKD2.1 billion so far this year, targeting to challenge HKD3 billion by year-end. He said his investment style is relatively prudent, adding that he prefers to hold more cash once profits are secured.
