JP Morgan will pay a sum of US$2.6 billion to reach a settlement for the criminal and civil charges that it had not stopped Bernard Madoff's Ponzi scheme.
According to the settlement agreement, JP Morgan needs to pay US$1.7 billion to victims and another US$350 to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. Besides, it also needs allocate US$543 million to resolve the civil claims.
