Anthropic has raised USD65 billion in its latest funding round, reaching a post-money valuation of USD965 billion and surpassing rival OpenAI for the first time. The round was led by Altimeter Capital, Dragoneer, Greenoaks and Sequoia Capital. Each lead investor committed more than USD2 billion, Bloomberg reported, citing people with the knowledge of the matter.Google also purportedly invested several billion US dollars in this round, part of its previously announced commitment to invest up to USD40 billion in Anthropic over time.
