During US President Donald Trump's visit to China, China committed to purchasing 200 Boeing aircraft, with the deal expected to be finalized later this year, Kelly Ortberg, CEO of Boeing Company (BA.US)      , said, describing the agreement as merely the first phase of potentially larger transactions in the future.

Investors were generally disappointed with the scale of the deal, considering it far smaller than earlier reports suggesting that prior to the Xi-Trump meeting the two countries had been discussing a procurement plan involving around 500 aircraft.
