Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD.US)      CEO Lisa Su said that global demand in the CPU market topped expectations, giving rise to tight market supply. The company is working with its partners in Taiwan to ramp up CPU production capacity.

Su noted that overall CPU market demand has far surpassed the company's expectations from a year ago. Amid CPU supply woe, the company is rapidly ramping up capacity and expects supply to increase every quarter this year, with plans to drastically expand supply next year and beyond.

Su visited China this week and stated that China remains an important market for the company, accounting for about 20% of its revenue. The company will continue to maintain close cooperation with Chinese customers going forward.
