Citi released a report stating that Alphabet Inc. (GOOGL.US) 's Google I/O 2026 conference highlighted Google's accelerating pace of product updates and the increasingly deep integration of Gemini across its entire product portfolio, reinforcing the banks view that its goal of becoming a "Universal Assistant" is within reach. Citi believes some of the more incremental product launches include Googles redesigned search box (now unified with AI-O, AI-M and Gemini), Gemini Flash 3.5, Sparks personalized AI Agent, and Universal Cart, which the bank expects will significantly accelerate its opportunities in the "Agentic Commerce" space. The report said the products unveiled at I/O strengthened Citis confidence that, against the backdrop of enhanced overall GCP capabilities, Googles AI offerings can continue to drive growth in search queries. In addition, with Geminis monthly active users exceeding 900 million, the launch of the low-latency, high-efficiency Gemini 3.5 Flash model (supporting more advanced coding capabilities in Antigravity 2.0), and continued growth in Gemini adoption (processing 3.2 quadrillion tokens per month), Alphabet Inc. (GOOGL.US) remains one of Citis top picks. The bank reiterated its Buy rating and USD447 TP on the stock.
