MEITUAN-W (03690.HK)  -0.750 (-0.914%)    Short selling $1.17B; Ratio 36.108%   Vice President and Head of Drone Business Mao Yinian stated that the ultimate commercialization goal of Meituan's drone operations is to achieve scalable profitability, and sustainable scalable profitability. The group has not set a strict timetable for achieving this target, as it largely depends on the maturity of the technology.

He expected that Meituan's drone business will require another two to three years to achieve a certain scale of front-end profitability. The first profitable scenario may not be the highly competitive domestic food delivery market, but rather other niche segments.
