Bank of New Zealand (BNZ) announced that N Zealand's BNZ Performance of Services Index (PSI) rose to 48.9 in April, with the pace of contraction slowing MoM. The previous reading was revised upward to 46.2.BNZ stated that two-thirds of surveyed service enterprises reported that their businesses were affected by negative factors last month, with many citing fuel prices. Due to the impact of the Iran conflict on shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, the services sector is unlikely to see a rapid rebound.
