The UK Office for National Statistics announced that industrial output in March fell 0.2% MoM, in line with market expectations. The previous reading was revised downward to a 0.3% increase. On a YoY basis, output was flat, missing expectations for a 0.3% increase. The previous figure was revised downward to a 0.5% decline.During the period, manufacturing output rose 1.2% MoM, far beating expectations for a 0.1% decline. The previous reading was revised downward to a 0.2% drop. On a YoY basis, manufacturing output increased 1.2%, also far exceeding expectations for a 0.2% rise. The prior figure was revised downward to a 0.8% decline.Construction output increased 1.5% MoM, beating market expectations for a 0.5% drop. The previous reading was revised downward to a 0.5% increase. On a YoY basis, it fell 0.3%, still better than expectations for a 2.5% decline. The prior figure was revised downward to a 1.6% drop.
