According to domestic media reports, data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) showed that in April, production and sales of new energy vehicles (NEVs) reached 1.32 million units and 1.344 million units, representing YoY increases of 5.5% and 9.7%, respectively. NEV sales accounted for 53.2% of total new vehicle sales during the month. In terms of exports, NEV exports totaled 430,000 units, up 1.1x YoY. In the first four months of this year, Chinas NEV exports reached 1.384 million units, up 1.2x YoY.A relevant official from CAAM stated that since the beginning of this year, Chinas economy has made a solid start, with major indicators outperforming expectations. Chinas automotive industry is accelerating its transformation toward electrification, intelligence and cross-sector integration.
