In response to the UK government's announcement of sanctions against entities and individuals from several countries, including two mainland entities, on the grounds of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said at a regular press conference that China consistently opposes unilateral sanctions that lack basis in international law and are not authorized by the United Nations Security Council. China expresses strong dissatisfaction with the UK's actions and has lodged solemn representations with the UK side.Lin said that on the issue of the Ukraine crisis, China has been committed to promoting peace talks and has strictly regulated exports of dual-use items.
