Apple Inc. (AAPL.US) has agreed to pay USD250 million to settle a false advertising lawsuit filed in 2024. If approved by a judge, it would become one of the largest legal settlements ever reached by Apple Inc., although the agreement does not include any admission of wrongdoing. The lawsuit was brought on behalf of a group of US iPhone buyers who alleged that Apple Inc. misled them into believing that their purchased devices would have certain features that, in fact, were not available. The complaint stated that in 2024 Apple Inc. "promoted AI features that did not exist at the time, do not exist now, and would not exist for two years or longer," in an effort to boost iPhone sales.Related News CMBI Cuts Coinbase Global, Inc.
