According to tracking data cited by Bloomberg, global liquefied natural gas (LNG) shipments fell 7% YoY in April to approximately 33 million tonnes, marking the lowest single-month export volume since May 2024. The decline was attributed to the Iran war, which led Qatar, the worlds second-largest LNG exporter, to halt production. However, increased output from suppliers including the United States and Canada offset part of the reduction in Qatars exports. (mn/w)
