In response to questions over why the YU7 GT carries the "GT" badge instead of "Ultra", Xiaomi Auto said the two labels reflect different definitions and model positioning.While "Ultra" represents flagship models, Xiaomi Auto stressed that "GT" refers to a high-performance luxury vehicle suitable for long-distance travel. The carmaker positions the YU7 GT as a sports car-level SUV designed for long-distance travel. Unlike the SU7 Ultra, this car doesn't pursue extreme track-focused performance.
