Trip.com released data on inbound travel for the Tomb-Sweeping holiday, showing that supported by the combined effects of visa-free policies and the overseas Easter holiday, inbound travel vitality was further unleashed, with overseas inbound orders on the platform increasing by nearly 100% YoY.According to publicly available information, among the top 20 overseas source markets for inbound visitors, 15 were visa-free countries. Order volume from visa-free countries increased significantly compared with the Tomb-Sweeping holiday last year, with a growth rate nearly three times that of non-visa-free countries. Ticket and leisure activity orders purchased in China by travelers from visa-free countries recorded growth more than seven times that of non-visa-free countries, while user orders for leisure projects surged by over 20 times. Spending by inbound travelers from Russia and Spain increased by more than 1.5x, with cultural heritage attractions particularly favored by European and US visitors. (ta/w)
