NATO members, together with South Korea, Japan, Australia, Bahrain, New Zealand, and the UAE, are preparing to take joint action to help ensure the security of the Strait of Hormuz, said NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte.

The alliance is still deciding on its course of action, when to act, and how to carry it out, Rutte added. Once the time is right, it will move immediately.
