With the market eyeing the Fed's interest rate meeting results and the Middle East geopolitical situation, the HSI managed to vault above the 26,000 mark after midday (18th). It last printed at 26,061, up 192 points or nearly 0.8%, with a turnover of HKD143.204 billion.

BABA-W (09988.HK)  -4.200 (-3.423%)    Short selling $1.80B; Ratio 62.850%   opened this morning lower by less than 0.2%, but it bounced back after midday. It last traded at HKD139.9, up 3.94%, with a volume of 62.5336 million shares, involving HKD8.506 billion.

As the procurement costs of core industry hardware have been spiked by the global AI demand surge and rising supply chain costs, Alibaba Cloud announced at noon its decision to adjust the prices of services such as AI computing power and Cloud Parallel File Storage (CPFS) for Lingjun.

Starting from April 18, the prices for services related to computing power cards like T-Head's Zhenwu 810E will increase by 5-34%, while the service price for file storage product CPFS for Lingjun will rise by 30%.
