Markets were on the see-saw for the outcome of the Federal Reserve's interest rate decision and the geopolitical situation in the Middle East. Hong Kong bourse last quoted at 25,930 after midday (18th), up 62 points or over 0.2%, with a turnover of HKD119.217 billion.

Blue-chip GEELY AUTO (00175.HK)  +1.840 (+8.371%)    Short selling $755.34M; Ratio 54.606%   , which announced its 2025 results at noon, saw its losses widen in the afternoon, and last quoted at HKD17.87, down 5.15%, with a turnover of 45.6023 million shares, amounting to HKD835 million.
