Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry, Sun Dong, spoke to reporters after an event, and was asked about the security risks related to OpenClaw.

Considering the uncertainties, particularly the risks associated with OpenClaw, the Digital Policy Office (DPO) has immediately reminded all government departments not to install the OpenClaw app on computers connected to the government network at this stage, Sun said.

The authority also advised institutions and individual users outside the government to adopt adequate security measures when deploying OpenClaw, including strict isolation in other operating environments, enhanced certificate management and continuous attention to official patches and security updates, to mitigate related risks.
