MEITUAN-W (03690.HK)  -2.600 (-3.285%)    Short selling $998.50M; Ratio 23.880%   CEO Wang Xing shared his views on AI development today (13th) at the 2026 management communication meeting. While there is no essential difference between mobile internet and the internet, perhaps like roses and peonies, he said, the difference between AI and the internet is like comparing monkeys to flowers, with AI having a much larger scale and impact.

For Meituan, the digitalization of the physical world will be a crucial foundation for AI, Wang opined, adding that, although large models are becoming smarter, people can imagine that even if Einstein were a secretary, he would still not know if a restaurant has seats when booking one, as this is not about intelligence but information.
