Citigroup (C.US)      and STANCHART (02888.HK)  -3.600 (-2.154%)    Short selling $9.24M; Ratio 32.781%   have begun evacuating their Dubai offices and have informed employees to work from home, Reuters quoted sources as saying.

HSBC HOLDINGS (00005.HK)  -0.300 (-0.230%)    Short selling $900.85M; Ratio 129.638%   also informed customers that it has closed all branches in Qatar until further notice to ensure the safety of employees and customers.

Previously, Iran threatened to harm the Gulf banking interests related to the US and Israel.
