US-China trade negotiators planned to meet in mid-March, indicating that the summit between US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping is still on schedule despite the US attack on Iran, Bloomberg quoted sources as saying.

It is reported that US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng are expected to meet next weekend in Paris to discuss potential business deals that could be facilitated by the leaders' meeting.

Potential discussion topics include whether China will purchase Boeing (BA.US)      aircraft, commitments to buy US soybeans and the US fentanyl tariffs overturned by the US Supreme Court, etc..

Trump is scheduled to visit China from 31 March to 2 April to meet with Xi, but China has not yet confirmed the itinerary.
